JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Department of Geosciences is seeking applicants for a part-time job of Undergraduate Research Assistant.
Job duties to include:
• The student will prepare tephra samples for analysis including sieving, washing, photographing, and describing samples. • The student will mount the feldspar grains and any glass shards in epoxy to prepare them for geochemical analysis and run them on the electron microprobe under the supervision of Dr. Erin DiMaggio. • The student will then interpret the results by comparing the data to previously published data on feldspars and glass to determine correlations among samples.

COMPENSATION
The starting rate for this job is $20/Hr.
