About the Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced trade qualified Fixed Plant Fitter to join our Underground Operations team to maintain and repair underground / primary ventilation and pumping equipment across our three mines at Golden Grove. In this role, you will report to the Mechanical Coordinator and work on a 2:2 roster.

Your focus will be on optimising operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective underground systems production.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and repairing underground dewatering and service pumps including Flyght submersibles and Wilson Snyder pumps.
• Maintaining and repairing underground Kemco C200 crushers, apron and plate feeders, conveyor systems and other fixed plant assets.
• Maintaining and repairing Primary and Booster ventilation systems.
• Maintaining and repairing shaft haulage double drum winder systems.
• Monitoring pump performance and respond to breakdowns and water management issues.
• Conducting routine inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance.
• Assembling and maintaining pipework, valves, and associated fittings.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have experience in similar underground maintenance roles with a solid work history, including a sound understanding of pumps, primary centrifugal fans, booster fans and winder systems.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• Fixed Plant Mechanical Trade Qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with underground loading station, jaw crushers and winder hoisting (desirable).
• Experience with primary pumping and valving.
• Experience with pneumatic systems and basic hydraulics.
• Current C-class manual driver's licence.
• HR Drivers' License advantageous.
