Job Overview

We are hiring Underground Power Technicians/Laborers to support underground electrical utility construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start or build a career in the underground utility industry.

Training is available for candidates with little or no previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of conduit, duct banks, cable vaults, handholes, and underground infrastructure.
• Pull, place, and secure underground cables.
• Assist equipment operators, linemen, and utility technicians.
• Perform site preparation, grading, cleanup, and restoration.
• Follow project plans, utility specifications, and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings and training.
• Support field crews with general construction and utility tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous utility or underground construction experience is a plus, but not required.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in trenches.
• Ability to work on uneven terrain.
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Driving Requirement

Candidates who are comfortable driving company vehicles should be able to meet company driving requirements and pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
