We are looking for experienced Underground Utility Pipe Layers to join our team.

Standard Construction Company, Inc. is an established Arizona civil general contractor. OUT-OF-TOWN WORK – TRAVEL & HOTEL PAID

This position will involve working on projects outside the Metro Phoenix area. Standard Construction Company will cover the costs associated with traveling to and from the project, including:

• Hotel accommodations paid by the company
• Travel time paid by the company
• Per diem provided for each workday
• Company-paid travel to and from the project
• Planned 4-day workweek – four 10-hour days
• Typically leave Monday morning and return home Thursday after work

This schedule allows employees to work a full week on the project while generally being home for the weekend.

DAVIS-BACON PROJECT – HIGHER WAGES

We currently have a Davis-Bacon federally funded project that requires payment of prevailing wages, which are higher than our standard wage rates for qualified employees working on the project.

Pay is based on experience and applicable prevailing wage requirements.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience installing 4"–72" pipe for water, sewer, and storm drain projects
• Set and maintain proper grades, elevations, and pipe alignment
• Experience using flow line, grade stick, string line, and other methods for establishing grade
• Experience with a pipe laser is preferred
• Safely set up and work with trench shoring systems in accordance with OSHA requirements
• Install water, sewer, and storm drain services
• Install fire hydrants, valves, fittings, pipe connections, and related underground utilities
• Read and understand construction plans, specifications, and drawings
• Work safely and efficiently as part of an underground utility crew
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements
