SUMMARY


Responsible for reviewing, underwriting and rating Producer submissions for new and renewal business. Manages client renewal process, including client renewal lists, renewal specifications and proposals. Meets with clients to discuss financial strategies and renewal/marketing results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs all aspects of underwriting assigned programs for clients;

Leads financial discussions with clients in person or via e-mail phone;

Develops client specific pricing models based on actuarial norms;

Trains and mentors Underwriting team members;

Provides analysis support to programs service team and program internal and external clients;

Manages client renewal lists; prepares renewal information and requests updates from insurance markets;

Performs demographic analysis for new and renewal business;

Creates and manages timelines for renewals;

Develops and maintains data tracking and reporting processes for underwriting models;

Assists in developing and maintaining claims systems and processes for new and renewal business;

Replies to incoming correspondence and independently responds as required;

Meets with Producers, clients, Underwriters, Account Executives and Benefits Analysts to develop program strategies;

Maintains files and historical data on all programs; oversees membership rosters and all database systems;

Participates in Underwriting and Marketing visits, meetings, document discussions and follow-up as needed;

Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);

Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Eight (8) or more years related work experience

Knowledge of insurance industry and prior supervisory experience

Five (5) or more years of experience in insurance underwriting or financial analysis and forecasting

Knowledge of insurance marketplace, including industry-rating system

Valid Insurance License

Must continue to meet requirements for license renewal

DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State


SKILLS


Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to perform complex mathematical functions and processes

Strong project management and leadership skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with advanced knowledge in Excel
