Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Prior experience in an underwriting assistant or insurance-related role strongly preferred
Demonstrated interest in the insurance industry and professional development
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and high energy
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills

Familiarity with ImageRight or similar systems is a plus
Rating experience is preferred but not required
Prior insurance experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for underwriters, underwriting assistants, brokers, and internal teammates
Review, analyze, page-mark, and rate submission materials
Follow up on outstanding underwriting requirements and necessary documentation
Maintain diaries and track post-bind outstanding items
Prepare and issue policies, endorsements, quotes, and binders (with guidance as needed)
Manage renewal processes, including follow-up and distribution of renewal correspondence
Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner
Participate in system testing and quality assurance initiatives
Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned
