About the role Responsible for supporting underwriting and new business operations by processing group information, renewals, maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, and providing administrative and operational support to underwriting teams, agents, and internal departments. Key Accountabilities Process assigned new business groups by entering and managing data across multiple systems, including MARK, Access, and Dynamics. Assign new business underwriters and operations specialists. Create and maintain new business folders within underwriting shared drives. Set up new business quotes and notes in MARK. Create and update Group Facts screens by entering member eligibility data. Order group billing materials and plan documents. Process monthly Renewals timely and accurately. Importing. Review renewal quote for errors and update. Monitor and process Participation. Call potential groups regarding their medical history/conditions using medical questionnaires. Answer phone inquiries from groups, agents, and Starmark distribution partners concerning problems, procedures, status, or general information. Perform all other job-related duties and projects as assigned including but not limited to: Processing HRA'S, ordering medical records, and providing support to other team members. Correct Group Facts errors and update system data, as necessary. Combine and transfer new business group documentation to G360 (Document Center). Audit new business groups and renewals to ensure accuracy and compliance. Enter Patient Notes timely and accurately. Process close out of New Business groups. Participate in departmental projects and assist with QA testing initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned. Submit EFT forms to the premium department for applicable groups. Send and process EchoSign documents, including NY HCRA forms. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 3 years insurance experience preferably in medical field. Proficient in using Excel and Word. Strong technical aptitude with ability to navigate several web applications. Strong organizational skills and very detail oriented. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to set priorities. Ability to achieve/maintain high quality and production standards. Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situations. Ability to be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced environment requiring shifting of priorities. Preferred: MARK knowledge Advanced Excel knowledge Mainframe knowledge The compensation range for this role is (based on the corporate location in Lake Forest, Illinois): $28.40 - $41.03 per hour The final salary offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus.
