Position Summary

An Underwriting Operations Technician plays a crucial role in the insurance industry by supporting underwriters in evaluating risks and ensuring compliance with company guidelines. They handle administrative tasks, analyze policy language, and engage with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities: \u00b7 Accurately input information into underwriting systems. \u00b7 Review policy language and forms to ensure compliance. \u00b7 Gather relevant market data for risk assessment. \u00b7 Assist agents and clients with inquiries. \u00b7 Organize files for underwriters' review. \u00b7 Assess financial, medical, and business factors. \u00b7 Investigate and resolve policy-related issues. \u00b7 Maintain accurate records and documentation. \u00b7 Assist in evaluating risks for insurance approval. \u00b7 Engage with internal teams and external partners. Work Experience and Education: \u00b7 Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Business. \u00b7 6 months to a year of related experience Licenses & Certifications: \u00b7 Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Personal Insurance (API), Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU), Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) or Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) is preferred Technical/Functional Skills: \u00b7 Data Management \u00b7 Insurance Regulations \u00b7 Market Knowledge \u00b7 Risk Assessment Tools \u00b7 Software Proficiency Behavioral Skills: \u00b7 Effective Communication \u00b7 Time Management \u00b7 Detail-Oriented \u00b7 Adaptability \u00b7 Problem Ownership \u00b7 Team Player

The target hourly rate range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00 per hour.
