Unified Basketball Support Staff - Salem Public Schools, Salem, MA [SY 2026-2027]

Responsibilities:

• Safety of athletes, writing and supervising workouts for various events, presence at all games and fundraising.
• Collaborating with school-based staff and Head Coach to modify and adapt exercises in accordance with student needs.
• Previous coaching/playing experience required. Responsible for practice planning, game management, and fundraising.
• Collaborating with school-based staff to modify and adapt exercises in accordance with student needs.
• The coach will also work closely with the AD to ensure all school policies/procedures are being followed as it relates to the athletic programs.

Preferred:

• Candidate should have previous experience with basketball
• Experience working with youth athletics
• Ability to meet the expectations and standards of practices as guided by the MIAA
• Demonstrates a high degree of energy and a genuine interest in students and their success
• Experience working with students & families of diverse ethnic backgrounds
