MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Unified Communications Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA, to support a large

enterprise IT system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Resolving Unified Communications user incidents and requests, to include operational voice and video challenges

  • Resolve issues with vendor-specific multi-level video teleconferencing systems

  • Supports Moves/Adds/Changes according to the program Managed Services requirements.

  • Provides weekly report activities to manager

  • Supports the enterprise program with the installation of local and/or remote data and voice communications equipment to include but not limited to voice terminals, video conferencing units, concentrators, minicomputers, central processing units, and facsimiles.

  • Create and maintain appropriate documentation, including operational instructions

  • Work in a team with standardized solutions based on Cisco technology equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of experience with information networks and related network security. Additional 2 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT II (e.g. Security+)

  • DoD 8570 computing environment certification within 6 months of hire. Cisco CCNA Voice or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with Cisco VTC codes, Cisco VoIP endpoints, Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) version 11.5 or later, Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco Telepresence Management Server or VQ Conference Manager.

  • In-depth understanding of standard voice and collaboration protocols, including SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SCCP.

  • Solid understanding of fundamental routing and switching concepts, including VLANs, STP, DHCP, and routing protocols like OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP to support voice infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on knowledge of Cisco Expressway-C and Expressway-E equipment to facilitate secure Mobile and Remote Access (MRA) and business-to-business (B2B) collaboration.

  • Technical expertise in configuring Quality of Service (QoS) and Class of Service (CoS) to ensure optimal voice and video packet delivery across the network.

  • Experience with SolarWinds Voice/Video QoS product a plus

  • Experience in VMware ESXi and vSphere administration for hosting, configuring, and maintaining virtualized Cisco UC applications.

  • Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is highly preferred, demonstrating a strong grasp of foundational networking and collaboration principles.

  • Must have a current / active Top Secret / SCI Clearance and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph.

The projected compensation range for this position is $114,600.00-$190,200.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
