Brayman Construction Corporation is seeking experienced Union Carpenter Foreman to join our growing heavy civil construction team. We are looking for skilled professionals with experience supervising crews and managing formwork on complex geotechnical and heavy civil construction projects.Schedule & Compensation:Typical schedule is approximately 40 hours per week, with overtime available based on project demands and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.This is a union position, and the successful candidate will either already be a member or become a member of the applicable Carpenters Local.Compensation includes:Hourly wage based on Union scale and individual experienceOvertime payPer Diem based on locationBenefits provided through the collective bargaining agreementKEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF UNION CARPENTER FOREMANThe Carpenter Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating field crews performing heavy civil construction activities while maintaining safe, productive, and organized operations. The Foreman is expected to serve as a hands-on field leader, capable of working alongside the crew while directing daily activities.Responsibilities include:Leading crews constructing complex concrete formwork systemsInterpreting construction drawings, specifications, and layoutCoordinating pile driving support, rigging, and structural installationsPlanning and assigning daily work tasks to meet project schedule requirementsManaging crew productivity and maintaining efficient operationsCoordinating manpower, materials, and equipment with project supervisionMaintaining high standards of workmanship and quality controlCommunicating with superintendents, engineers, inspectors, and other tradesMentoring apprentices and journeyman carpentersQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION OF UNION CARPENTER FOREMANMinimum 5 years of heavy civil carpentry Foreman/Crew Leader experienceStrong experience with formwork systems and structural concreteAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsCommitment to maintaining safe work practicesAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a Carpenters Union apprenticeship program, vocational school, or technical training preferredRecent and verifiable construction work history requiredWORK ENVIRONMENT FOR UNION CARPENTER FOREMANWork is performed outdoors on an active heavy civil construction site. Duties involve physical labor including lifting, climbing, bending, and working around heavy equipment and structural concrete operations.SAFETYThis is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis.
