Description

Job Summary:

The Union Senior Administrative Coordinator provides administrative and secretarial support in coordinating daily activities of the department.  Performs office management functions, such as overseeing general support for office activities, overseeing work of assigned staff, assists in monitoring department budget and financial functions, monitoring the purchase of office supplies, and performing extensive scheduling of appointments. Requires a thorough knowledge of Supervisor's areas of responsibility to facilitate flow of information and serve as resource.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversees general support of office activities.
Assists with administrative functions, such as authorizing routine office expenditures and monitoring departmental budgets.
Develops and maintains record-keeping, filing systems, and databases.
Greets visitors entering department.
Receives and processes incoming mail.
Preserves and protects employee and patient rights to confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as requested.

Requirements:

    Associates degree preferred with three to five years experience in a health care 
    environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have 
    extensive knowledge of computer programs and databases.  Excellent organizational, 
    interpersonal, and communication skills requried.  Must have demonstrated ability to 
    deal with highly sensitive materials with a great deal of discretion.
