Responsibilities:
How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Maintain, repair, and install hospital plumbing systems, including fixtures, fittings, drains, valves, backflow devices, and minor medical gas systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure all plumbing systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently in compliance with national, state, and local codes.
- Review and prioritize work orders; interpret blueprints and specifications; and estimate time, materials, and costs to complete assigned tasks.
- Manage inventory and procurement of materials, tools, and spare parts to support routine work and emergency repairs.
- Ensure proper system labeling, maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation, and complete work orders clearly and on time to support equipment history tracking.
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, safe tool usage, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls while delivering high-quality, cost-effective service and supporting patient safety and organizational goals.
