Description

Kauai Medical Clinic is the island's largest clinic and only multispecialty medical group. More than 85 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care at clinic locations in Eleele, Kapaa, Koloa and Lihue.

The Orthopedics Department is trained to handle the most common of injuries, from sprains, broken bones and sports injuries, to specialized conditions such as arthritis and congenital disorders. Our multi-disciplinary team includes fellowship-trained orthopedic physicians, rheumatologists, physical therapists, nurses and other health care providers that specialize in treating a wide range of injuries in children and adults.

As a Unit Clerk, you will provide administrative support for insurance authorizations so that patients can receive the medical attention they need from your department quickly and efficiently. You will work with Medical Support Staff to ensure that the patient authorization system is accurate; facilitate timely approval of insurance authorizations (including DME and medications), consultations and referrals; generate treatment plans; follow up on phone calls and correspondence involving all insurances; communicate in a timely fashion with patients on the status and results of the authorization process; and promote a professional practice image by interacting well with staff members, patients and providers.
