    Unit Coordinator - Weinberg Center

    Full time - Day Shift - 40 hours.

    Job Overview:

    We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Unit Coordinator to support our patient care team. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee, the Unit Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, efficient, and supportive patient care environment. This individual ensures timely coordination of indirect patient care staff and oversees resources, logistics, and workflow to keep the unit running smoothly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Significant responsibilities of this role will include the accurate distribution of supplies in the department as well as ensuring cleanliness of common areas and other department areas as required.
    • Monitor and maintain the patient care environment to ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
    • Coordinate and oversee the work of assigned support personnel
    • Assist in evaluating supply and equipment needs, establish usage standards, and monitor utilization
    • Support long- and short-term planning and operational decision-making under the guidance of the Nurse Manager
    • Participate in performance management, training, and staffing decisions for support staff
    • Collaborate with nursing, support services, and environmental services teams to meet unit needs
    • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree or completion of two years of college-level work in business, management, or allied health field
    • 1-2 years of related work experience in a healthcare setting required
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare environmental services
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
    • Moderate analytical ability to support operational planning and policy development
    • Familiarity with computer systems and software related to inventory and environmental services

    Preferred Skills:

    • Understanding of cleaning systems, people management, and resource allocation
    • Experience in healthcare support operations such as inventory control, logistics, or customer service

    Salary Range: Minimum $17.37/visit - Maximum $28.68/visit. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
