Job Summary\n \nWith the assistance of subordinate leaders and community partners the Unit director of Community Health initiatives and partnerships Designs and oversees nursing and administrative operations in the Roving Community Health initiative the Gender Institute and the Hyperbaric Center at UCSF Hyde. maintains clinical oversight, drives quality improvement initiatives, and ensures regulatory compliance while leveraging data analytics to monitor performance outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement. This role leads evidence-based practice implementation, proactively addresses quality and safety trends through course correction strategies, and partners with interdisciplinary teams to foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence.\n \nIn addition to clinical oversight, the Unit Director oversees financial and human resource management to meet organizational objectives. Responsibilities include budget planning, monitoring productivity benchmarks, optimizing staffing models, and ensuring efficient resource utilization without compromising patient care. The role requires strong analytical capability, executive presence, and the ability to align program operations with both short- and long-term strategic priorities of UCSF Health.\n \nThis leader ensures that all safety and support efforts are grounded in non-biased philosophy and methodology and are trauma-informed., this role collaborates with community partners and external resources to address the needs of all community members including under served populations. \n \nThe Unit Director reports directly to the Executive Director of Nursing\n \nThe final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.\n \nYour placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. \n \nThe salary range for this position is $253,900 - $269,400 (Annual Rate).\n \nTo learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html\n \nRequired Qualifications\n\n Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Nursing required\n Minimum of 3 years of strong hospital leadership experience, with progressive and in-depth expertise in patient care services\n Minimum of 1 year of hospital management experience managing direct employees\n BLS\n Registered Nurse in the State of California\n In-depth knowledge of health program / policy analysis. Advanced ability to produce detailed analytical reports\n Knowledge of hospital / clinic operations in a hospital or medical center setting; knowledge of appropriate professional standards for the department and team\n Strong knowledge of relevant healthcare information technology and patient care workflows and processes\n Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, as well as related legislative, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments\n Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and specialized applications such as Adobe Acrobat and Visio\n Experience implementing and / or evaluating health programs\n Demonstrated clinical expertise in healthcare delivery in targeted community settings\n In-depth knowledge of delivery system reforms, accountable care standards, and public health responses, particularly as related to health equity and access in marginalized communities\n Advanced organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team, prioritize tasks, and direct projects from inception to completion\n Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving to evaluate highly-complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions\n Advanced interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with clinical and professional staff\n Advanced written and verbal communication to convey complex information and produce high-quality reports and presentations\n Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to foster and promote an environment for effective communication and collaborative decision making across multiple units and disciplines\n Excellent leadership, fiscal and operations management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, management and staff from all disciplines\n Ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork, collaboration and consistent achievement of objectives\n \nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Master's Degree in Nursing or relevant area preferred\n Certification in relevant area preferred\n\n
