The primary function of this position is to lead and mentor the direct support professionals on an overnight shift.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and ongoing staff development.
- Assure that adequate staff ratios are in place, cross train employees, and assist in the management of employee absences.
- Assists in the development of program plans and be an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Ensures that a safe environment is provided and maintain program materials and equipment.
- Assists in interviewing and onboarding new Direct Support Professionals.
- Monitor and train DSPs on Shift Responsibilities and update as needed.
- Participates in in-service training and in team meetings.
- Implements mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of St. Joseph's Center.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship with coworkers and supervisors and creates an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust within the facility.
- Is flexible to changes in duties, priorities, methods and environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
