Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager - Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team at Sadie G. Mays in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality care and excellent customer service for all residents, visitors, peers, and vendors. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Make routine rounds to assess residents’ needs and monitor changes in their status.
• Update Resident Care Plans as needed to reflect current health conditions and care requirements.
• Review and investigate incident reports, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
• Engage with resident families to address concerns and resolve issues promptly and compassionately.
• Ensure all unit staff provide quality delivery of care and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Provide mentoring, guidance, and teaching to staff members as necessary to promote professional development and quality care.
• Assist with new admissions, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for residents.
• Collaborate closely with Nursing Administration to coordinate care and unit operations.
• Participate in medication pass when needed to support nursing staff and ensure resident safety.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory nursing role preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and guide nursing staff effectively.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
