Position Overview: RN Unit Manager

The RN Unit Manager provides leadership and oversight for daily nursing operations within the assigned unit. This role partners closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to support staff development, regulatory readiness, clinical quality, and exceptional resident care.

The ideal candidate is confident, approachable, organized, and motivated to help lead positive change within a growing and evolving clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support day-to-day clinical operations for the assigned unit

• Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff through coaching and accountability

• Support clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated resident care

• Monitor documentation, treatments, physician orders, and resident care plans for accuracy and compliance

• Conduct resident rounds and assist in identifying opportunities for improvement

• Promote a positive team culture focused on communication, consistency, and compassionate care

• Serve as a professional liaison between residents, families, nursing staff, and leadership

Qualifications:

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment

• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to motivate teams and support operational improvement initiatives

• Passion for resident-centered care and team development
