Position Summary The RN Unit Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of nursing services on an assigned skilled nursing unit. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and professional nursing standards. The RN Unit Manager serves as a key member of the clinical leadership team, promoting positive resident outcomes, staff development, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate the daily nursing operations of an assigned unit.
- Ensure residents receive quality care that meets individual needs and care plan objectives.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff.
- Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate follow-up and interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented environment focused on resident satisfaction and exceptional care.
Qualifications Required - Graduate of an accredited Nursing program or approved Registered Nurse (RN) program.
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate nursing staff while maintaining high standards of resident care.
Preferred - Previous Unit Manager or nursing leadership experience.
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric healthcare settings.
