POSITION TITLE: Unit Manager, Wealth Management & Trust

DEPARTMENT: RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree required; Experience in finance achieved through formal education or work experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of business experience with at least one year in a leadership role required
  • Prior customer service experience required; Business to business relationship management experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Federated Hermes and market-related products, systems, funds, industry, operations, services and regulatory environment required.
  • Ability to use standard office applications with working knowledge of technical equipment and systems required

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers and Relationship Administrators within the Client Services division, fostering a positive, high¿performance environment focused on building long¿term client relationships and delivering best¿in¿class service to Wealth Management & Trust clients.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily responsibilities across the team to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and performance feedback; conduct hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations for assigned staff.
  • Oversee client¿related activities across domestic mutual funds, non '40 Act, and offshore products, coordinating with Transfer Agents and internal partners to resolve escalated issues and advocate for clients.
  • Act as a primary liaison between the Wealth Management business unit and internal departments and external vendors to address administrative, operational, and service¿related matters impacting client relationships.
  • Collaborate with Federated Hermes Sales Representatives and division leadership to gain client insights and support the development and retention of strong client relationships.
  • Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of intermediary and client agreements, support client onboarding, contract negotiations, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Leverage knowledge of Federated Hermes systems, external technologies, and products to recommend process improvements and system enhancements that drive operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Lead, participate in, and provide management oversight for corporate initiatives and large¿scale client projects.
  • Participate in the development, documentation, and maintenance of Investor Services policies and procedures; proactively identify gaps and the need for new or updated procedures.
  • Assess operational risks within existing policies and procedures, ensure staff are appropriately trained, and document risk implications for proposed changes for review by the Shareholder Services Operational Risk Committee (SSORC).

HOURS/LOCATION:

  • 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (overtime as required)
  • Warrendale Location - Warrendale, PA 15086
  • Hybrid work arrangement
