Duties

Help

As a UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR, GS-0303-07, you will assist Personnel Management Activities. Support the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. Provide customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures. Monitor personnel records and supports preparation of routine personnel actions with guidance from higher graded HR Specialist. Assist with maintaining personnel files and electronic records in accordance with Air Force, Air National Guard, and local directives. Participate in tracking training requirements for assigned organization and helps coordinate developmental opportunities. Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: This position works on a 5/4/9 compressed work schedule that consists of a 5-day workweek, then a 4-day workweek (eight 9-hour days and one 8-hour day and an SDO, Scheduled Day Off) to complete the 80-hour pay period. Work schedule is subject to change based on mission requirements.

  • KANSAS AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing states National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance of the position within one year of appointment
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
  • The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment.
  • You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission.

Qualifications

Military Grades: E-1 through E-6

Compatible Military Assignments: Any

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidates ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level, in managing daily administrative and unit level support, executing programs and supporting personnel to maintain mission readiness.
