Unit Secretary, MS/TCU

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Unit Secretary for our Med/Surg/TCU/ICU Department.This is a PRN position, rotating shift.Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, this position performs the receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit; serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians; and assists the staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma, or equivalentCNA, preferredUnit Secretary Experience, preferredSKILLS:Customer SkillsBasic Computer SkillsClerical Skills with Heavy Phone UseRequired use of Electronic Medical Record System (Cerner)Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation, on the job training available.
