A Unit Secretary is responsible for performing clerical duties in support of Probation Officers in the Department of Probation Services. A unit secretary is responsible to track and process parole plans, detainers, violation reports, Gagnon I and Gagnon II and presentence investigation reports. This involves entering data into the Probation Department case management program; sending, monitoring and retrieving documents to the assigned Judge; and processing to the York County Prison and Clerk of Courts. Other duties may be assigned by the Support Staff Supervisor, Office Manager and/or Probation Officer. Cover front reception area as assigned.
Complete daily mail run twice daily.
Complete daily Judge run twice daily.
Attend monthly unit meetings with Probation Officers and Support Staff Manager.
Attend all required Probation Services or other applicable trainings.
Performing related work as required.
Representing the department professionally to the public.
Nontraditional hours to accommodate client schedules are mandated as a part of this position.1. High School Diploma or equivalency
