Job Overview

We are seeking an AV Hardware Test Technician - Level I to support a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle (AV) hardware validation and quality control operation. In this hands-on role, you will execute established standard operating procedures (SOPs) to test, validate, process, and track hardware components used in advanced AV data collection systems. Key Responsibilities

• Execute Hardware & Software Validation: Connect sensors, compute devices, and AV hardware to test benches to perform documented testing, firmware updates, and pass/fail verification against strict quality criteria.

• Process Hardware Disposition & Inventory: Apply status labels and asset tracking information, prepare validated hardware for downstream integration, and route defective components through designated RMA or repair workflows.

• Document & Escalate Operations: Accurately record test outcomes in tracking systems, maintain an organized workspace, and escalate unresolved technical issues according to established protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

• Environment Experience: Prior hands-on experience working in a technical lab, manufacturing, warehouse, testing, or hardware support environment.

• OS & Networking Fundamentals: Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems, coupled with a basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.

• Execution & Documentation Discipline: Proven ability to read, comprehend, and execute documented procedures, existing scripts, and command-line utilities with high precision and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Scripting Knowledge: Basic scripting experience in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.

• AV Exposure: Familiarity with specialized autonomous vehicle (AV) components and sensors.

• Supply Chain & Troubleshooting: Prior experience with inventory control, shipping/receiving, RMA processes, and independently troubleshooting straightforward hardware/software issues.
