ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Provides service to all new and existing accounts according to bank policies and procedures. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Answers basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
- Balances cash drawer at end of shift (Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary).
- Buys, sells, and assists with currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that cash drawer limits are not exceeded.
- Participates in cross-training and sales, service and product training meetings as requested.
- Proficient in the account opening process for all deposit accounts, including, but not limited to: savings, checking, money market, and business accounts.
- Builds exceptional knowledge of products and services to maintain rapport with customers, understand their needs, and provide solutions.
- Provides a complete range of services at the financial institution, including opening new accounts, explaining available financial institution products and services, and gathering customer information to process new and existing accounts as well as provides back up to the assistant branch manager as needed.
