PGS Worldwide is seeking a University Relations Recruiter in Palmdale, CA for a one-year contract role supporting Northrop Grumman.
The University Relations Recruiter will support early-career and intern hiring for Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics sector by building university partnerships, managing campus recruiting strategies, supporting full-cycle recruiting, and maintaining candidate pipelines across academic recruiting cycles. This hybrid role requires recruiting or university relations experience, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to travel during peak campus recruiting seasons.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of talent acquisition, recruiting, or university relations experience; or bachelor’s degree with 0 years of talent acquisition, recruiting, or university relations experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance.
- Must be based in Palmdale, CA, or within reasonable commuting distance.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency.
- Ability to support university relations and early-career recruiting activity.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with target universities, faculty, career services teams, and student organizations.
- Ability to develop and execute campus recruiting strategies.
- Ability to screen, assess, and present qualified early-career candidates.
- Ability to partner with hiring managers on candidate criteria and selection strategies.
- Ability to maintain accurate candidate activity in an ATS.

What You’ll Do
- Manage university relations and early-career recruiting activity.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with target universities and student organizations.
- Develop campus recruiting strategies aligned to business needs.
- Support intern and early-career talent pipelines across academic recruiting cycles.
- Maintain candidate engagement through “keep warm” strategies.
- Screen and assess candidates for defined hiring profiles.
- Partner with hiring managers to refine candidate criteria and selection strategies.
- Lead or support campus events, networking sessions, and student engagement initiatives.
- Promote company culture, values, and mission alignment to strengthen brand presence.
- Use data and recruiting metrics to inform campus strategy.
- Maintain recruiting compliance and ATS data integrity.
- Collaborate with enterprise and sector university relations teams.
- Develop process improvements that support operating excellence.
Work Schedule / Shift
- 9x80 A schedule.
- Hybrid role based in Palmdale, CA.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
