Warehouse Unloader - 1st Shift

Schedule: 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Position Overview

The Warehouse Unloader is responsible for unloading products from incoming containers, stacking them securely onto pallets, and preparing them for transfer or storage. This position also helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Unload products from incoming containers.
• Stack products safely and accurately onto pallets in designated arrangements.
• Count products and verify pallet quantities.
• Label pallets with destination tags assigned by management.
• Coordinate with warehouse clerks, forklift operators, and managers to move products to the appropriate storage or transfer locations.
• Maintain an organized flow of pallets for stocking and transfers.
• Use pallet jacks and other approved equipment as needed.
• Operate equipment such as pallet wrappers, compactors, balers, and motorized conveyors after receiving proper training.
• Read and follow vendor stock sheets and warehouse instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout work areas and warehouse grounds.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, unloading, or material-handling experience preferred.
• Experience using a pallet jack required.
• Basic arithmetic skills to count products and pallet quantities.
• Ability to understand vendor stock sheets and work instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Willingness and availability to work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift approximately 40 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in warehouse conditions that may include high heat and cold temperatures.
