Connected Health Care, a leading healthcare recruitment and staffing firm, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract with one of our valued long-term care partners near Oskaloosa, Kansas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated RN looking to expand their travel nursing experience while providing high-quality care to residents in a long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing environment.
With day and night shifts available, 36 scheduled hours per week, and competitive pay up to $50 per hour, this assignment offers a great opportunity for nurses seeking flexibility, professional growth, and a rewarding travel nursing experience.
Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care (LTC) and skilled nursing setting.
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition.
Administer medications, injections, and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Develop, implement, and update individualized resident care plans.
Provide wound care, dressing changes, and other skilled nursing treatments as needed.
Monitor vital signs, document clinical findings, and maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, CNAs, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Supervise and delegate appropriate nursing responsibilities to LPNs and CNAs.
Respond promptly to changes in resident conditions and medical emergencies.
Educate residents and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs.
Maintain compliance with infection prevention standards, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies.
Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and overall quality of life.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (ADN or BSN).
Licensure: Active, unrestricted Kansas RN license or valid multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or an accepted equivalent.
Previous Registered Nurse experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
Previous travel nursing or contract nursing experience is a plus.
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient care skills.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and long-term care documentation.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to commit to a 13-week travel nursing assignment.
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: Up to $50 per hour
Scheduled Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Schedule: Three 12-Hour Shifts Per Week (3x12s)
