About the Role:
Kids Place Learning Center has an opening in our UPK and Preschool classrooms.  This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a supportive and nurturing environment.



Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with NYS learning standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children
• Observe, assess, and document student progress and development
• Communicate regularly with families regarding children's growth, milestones, and classroom activities
• Collaborate with assistant teachers, staff, and administrators to support classroom goals
• Maintain accurate records, attendance, and required program documentation
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• New York State teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth–Grade 2) preferred 
• Prior experience in an early childhood classroom setting
• Strong knowledge of NYS Early Learning Guidelines and developmentally appropriate practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with young children
• Must meet NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) background check requirements
