West Michigan Academy of Arts & Academics is hiring a full time Upper Elementary Teacher for the upcoming school year. Must have a valid Michigan Teacher Certification!

West Michigan Academy of Arts & Academics is a TK-8 public school academy chartered by Grand  Valley State University. We are located in Spring Lake and our students come from many surrounding  districts in Ottawa and Muskegon counties. WMAAA focuses on arts integration and high academic  achievement. We have a great team of teachers and staff who have been supporting and educating  creative, artistic, academic high achieving students for over 30 years! We are looking for an  experienced successful leader to join our team. 

We are seeking a certified elementary teacher for a full-time upper elementary for West  Michigan Academy of Arts and Academics (WMAAA), arts integration in classroom instruction. 

Duties: Include teaching all core academic subjects. Preparing daily lesson that align to the Michigan  State Standards. Other duties include, but are not limited to, attending regular staff meetings, professional  learning communities, participation and attendance at school events, serving on school - related  committees and participating in school led professional development days, and other duties assigned.

Close vision is required to perform computer related tasks. Work  Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  

Qualifications: Applicants must have a valid teacher-certified in Michigan grades 3-6, K-8, or K-5.  Applicants must have the ability to connect and work with students, a community of families, teachers, and administrators. Must meet the Federal Standards of No Child Left Behind.
