The Warehouse Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding the physical assets and personnel of the warehouse facility during non-business hours. This includes patrolling the premises, monitoring security systems, responding to alarms, and investigating and reporting any incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular foot patrols of the warehouse interior and exterior, inspecting for signs of unauthorized access, vandalism, or suspicious activity.
Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding to any alerts promptly and taking appropriate action.
Investigate security incidents, gather evidence, and prepare detailed incident reports.
Control access to the warehouse, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
Deter theft and vandalism by maintaining a visible security presence.
Assist with emergency response procedures as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date security logs and records.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid security guard license.
Prior experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
Strong physical and mental stamina.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and observation skills.
Familiarity with security protocols and procedures.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
