Job Description

Redlands Community College is seeking candidates to apply for the Upward Bound Tutor position for Calumet High School. This is a federally funded, part-time position working approximately 1 hour per week during the academic year (August through May). The position provides academic support to high school students participating in the TRIO Upward Bound program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Tutoring students in Math, Science, and English
• Supporting students in developing effective study habits and academic strategies
• Maintaining accurate student attendance and progress records
• Upholding all program policies and procedures
• Serving as a positive role model for program participants

Qualifications include:

• Must be a certified teacher in the state of Oklahoma or have previously held teacher certification
• Demonstrated dependability, leadership ability, and strong moral character
• Ability to communicate effectively with high school students from diverse backgrounds
• Commitment to supporting first-generation and income-eligible college-bound students
• Experience working with TRIO or similar outreach programs is preferred.
