Schedule: Full-Time | Day, Evening, and some weekend shifts

Incentives:

$2,500 CME allowance + 5 dedicated CME days

What You Will Do:

Ascension Seton is looking for a PA or APRN for our Urgent Care Department. 

This is an great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients in the Austin area.  

 

• Join an established team of physicians and APPs
• Practice setting: outpatient
• 4 weekend shifts per month requirement 
• APP coverage will include multi-site care
• Employed position within a Nonprofit health system
• Deliver direct care to treat common illnesses and injuries, as well as performing procedures and diagnostics. Will conduct patient histories, physical assessments, and interventions to support and deliver compassionate patient care. 
• Formulate treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care under physician supervision.
• Empower patients and families by providing clear counseling on wellness, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long-term wellness and self-care.
• Support and coordinate care when higher levels of care are necessary, as well as ensuring timely follow up with primary care, pediatricians, specialists. In addition, outpatient imaging, physical therapy and RX services are available to patients.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

Additional Preferences:

2 years of experience as an APP in Urgent Care or Primary Care setting
