Urgent Care Physician – Medical Director (Direct Hire)
Location: San Bernardino, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
No nights No weekends No holidays No on‑call
About the Role
This leadership‑driven clinical role allows physicians to blend direct patient care with medical operations management. As the Urgent Care Medical Director, you will oversee clinic performance, support clinicians, and ensure high‑quality patient outcomes. This position offers a stable weekday schedule, strong organizational support, and a diverse, collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement, education, and career growth.
Required Qualifications
1+ year of Management experience
1+ year of Medicare experience
1+ year of experience in ANY of the following:
NextGen Inpatient Clinicals
Clinical Documentation
Clinical Quality
1+ year of experience in ANY of the following:
Managed Care
Healthcare
Care Management
Valid license/certification (any of the following):
Board Eligible
Board Certified
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and lead by example to ensure an exceptional patient experience
Oversee day‑to‑day execution of the medical model and clinic operations
Collaborate with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and timely case closure
Manage clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with APC supervisory requirements
Foster a professional, collaborative, and patient‑centered clinic environment
Partner with leadership to identify, implement, and sustain continuous clinical and operational improvements
Maintain strong relationships with center clients, payers, and referral partners
Manage clinical and support staffing levels in coordination with clinic leadership
Promote company values, professionalism, safety, quality care, and recognition across the clinic
Provide input on clinic budget, business metrics, and financial performance
Support a culture of collaboration, quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Schedule & Work Environment
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
No nights, weekends, holidays, or on‑call
