Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists – Dennis, MA
Do you enjoy the pace of urgent care, the variety of same-day cases, and helping patients who need timely medical attention? Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join team at our Dennis location.
This is an exciting opportunity to help support the continued development of Urgent Care services in Dennis. You will work closely with our veterinarians and emergency team to assess, treat, and support stable patients whose needs may not require full critical care services.
About the Role
As an Urgent Care Technician, you will assist veterinarians throughout the patient visit while helping provide efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care.
Cases may include:
- Bandage changes
- Ear and skin concerns
- Ear cytologies
- Urinary tract infections
- Lameness exams
- Wound care
- Minor injuries
- Gastrointestinal concerns
- Triage support for stable urgent cases
- Client education and discharge instructions
You will be part of a collaborative and compassionate team focused on exceptional patient care, strong client communication, and continued growth of the Dennis Urgent Care department.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of general practice experience preferred
- Strong interest in urgent care and emergency medicine
- Strong communication and client-service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfort working weekends and participating in a holiday rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- CVT, RVT, or LVT credential
- Interest in obtaining veterinary technician licensure
- Interest in pursuing a VTS
- Experience in urgent care, emergency, specialty, or a high-volume general practice
Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time position with benefits
- Tentative schedule of Saturday through Monday
- Participation in a holiday rotation
- Compensation range: $22–$32 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Most new hires can expect an offer based on experience, expertise, and alignment with comparable positions within the hospital, typically between the minimum and the midpoint of the range.
