Urgent Care Veterinarian

 

A veterinary clinic is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its collaborative medical team. This role focuses on providing care for non-life-threatening conditions that require prompt attention, offering an alternative to emergency clinics while supporting overall patient well-being. This opportunity is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of cases, and delivering efficient, high-quality care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care cases in companion animals
  • Manage common conditions such as minor injuries, infections, gastrointestinal issues, and other non-emergency concerns
  • Perform necessary procedures and provide appropriate treatment plans
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, care plans, and follow-up recommendations
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
 

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent)

  • Active veterinary license (or eligibility) in North Carolina

  • Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care

  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and interpersonal skills
