Urgent Care Veterinarian – Gig Harbor, WA

 

A growing companion animal practice in the Gig Harbor area is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join its collaborative and education-focused team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a steady flow of urgent cases in a well-equipped facility while maintaining a structured schedule. The practice values mentorship, clinical autonomy, and teamwork, creating an environment where veterinarians can grow professionally while delivering high-quality patient care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent and same-day medical cases

  • Perform minor surgical and medical procedures as needed

  • Develop and communicate treatment plans clearly with clients

  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records

  • Collaborate with veterinary and support staff to ensure continuity of care

  • Utilize in-house diagnostic and imaging tools to support medical decisions

 

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree

  • Active veterinary license (or ability to obtain licensure)

  • Experience or strong interest in urgent care medicine

  • Solid diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills

  • Strong communication and client education abilities

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
