We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week night-shift contract. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and nursery care in a Level I setting.
The RN will provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support positive outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Pay Rate
Traveler Rate: $71/hour
- $41/hour taxable W-2
- $30/hour non-taxable stipend
Local Traveler Rate: $63/hour
Candidates residing within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed.
- Provide postpartum assessments, patient education, and recovery care.
- Provide appropriate newborn and nursery care.
- Recognize changes in maternal or fetal status and respond promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Support patient and family education throughout the childbirth process.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery experience.
- Level I experience required.
- Previous travel nursing experience required; new travelers will not be accepted.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
- Must be available for the full contract and guaranteed schedule.

All certifications must be current and documented:
- BLS – AHA
- ACLS – AHA
- NRP
- STABLE
- AWHONN
