Urgent Hiring for the Position of Warehouse Operator

Job Description

Job Title : Warehouse Operator 1

Duration : 6 Months

Location: Allentown PA USA PA-18106

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr. On W2 without benefits

Schedule: Monday Friday, depending on business needs (Day Shift)

Shift start times may vary between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Employees will work 8 hours with a 30-minute lunch break, and the latest shift end time will be 6:00 PM. Overtime may be required as needed.

• Must have 5+ years of experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate various types of powered industrial trucks, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.

• Load and Unload: Load and unload trailers and trucks containing raw materials, finished goods, or waste products.

• Selecting and Put Away: Select orders and put away inbound materials.

• Packing/Unpacking: Pack orders and prepare orders for shipment as needed. Unpack inbound materials for placement into inventory.

• Inspect Equipment: Perform and document daily pre-operation inspections and report any maintenance issues to ensure equipment is in safe working order.

• Maintain the Work Area: Keep the work area clean, orderly, and safe by organizing materials and removing waste or other debris.

• Stock Management: Move, stack, and stage products, materials, or cases in designated locations, including high-racking systems.

• Documentation: Use handheld scanners to accurately track and record product movement or maintain manual logs and records.

• Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety rules and procedures and comply with company policies and operational guidelines.

• Perform miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.

• Maintain exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule.

Critical Skills

• Ability to read, hear, speak, and understand the English language.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, selecting carts, packing equipment (tape machines, etc.), and various cutting instruments.

• Ability to operate PCs and printers.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for extended periods and remain on their feet for up to eight hours.

• Ability to talk, hear, taste, and smell.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.

• May be required to move more than 50 pounds with assistance.

• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Regular use of phones, computers, computer monitors, and other office equipment.

• Ability to type on a computer keyboard and read CRTs/computer monitors.
