Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) delivers direct rehabilitation services in occupational therapy to patients referred by physicians, working under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). This role adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct rehabilitation care in occupational therapy as per physician referrals.
  • Collaborate on community health initiatives and projects when applicable.
  • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information.
  • Understand and comply with organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
  • Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training.
  • Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT).
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
  • Familiarity with practices, procedures, and regulations governing post-acute care facilities.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
