We are currently seeking for a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to serve as part of our growing home health care team.

In this role, you will work with our clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide compassionate care and assistance and document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing.

Pay rate: $52 per hour

Shift: Saturday, 10AM to 2PM (Start ASAP)

Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
At least 1 year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting (3–5 years preferred)
Driver’s License or State-Issued ID
Current CPR/BLS Card
TB Test Results
Social Security Card
Vaccination Card
Fingerprinting / Background Check Clearance


CLIENT CARE NEEDS:
1Primary Clinical Focus

Feeding & Aspiration Risk Management (High Priority)
Monitor closely during all meals due to tendency to overstuff food
Regulate bite size and pacing to reduce choking risk
Ensure safe swallowing and intervene as needed
Provide ongoing assessment of feeding safety

Patient Safety & Supervision
Maintain continuous supervision due to safety risks
Monitor during mobility (walking, running, stairs, uneven surfaces)
Ensure safe environment at all times

Clinical Observation & Assessment
Observe for any changes in condition and report/escalate as needed
Be mindful of medical history (multiple surgeries; potential future procedures)
Provide sound clinical judgment in day-to-day care

2Functional Support (Secondary to Clinical Oversight)
Assist with activities of daily living as needed (toileting support, including clothing assistance)
Support safe participation in daily routines and activities
Encourage appropriate use of communication tools (AAC device) to support patient interaction
Engagement & Development (Supportive Role)
Provide appropriate engagement to support the patient’s overall well-being
Participate in structured activities (e.g., simple play, outdoor time) while maintaining safety oversight
Reinforce therapy-informed activities (PT/OT exercises) as tolerated

Additional Notes
No medication administration required
Patient is nonverbal and requires attentive, responsive care
Monthly participation in client's program on a Sunday
