Lumber Puller — Urgently hiring in Sweet Home!

Job Title: Lumber Puller
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Hours: Monday - Thursday from 5:30 am - 3 pm and Friday from 5:30 am - 9:30 am with possible overtime
Start Date: ASAP

As a Lumber Puller, you’ll be an essential part of the team, pulling, sorting, and stacking lumber swiftly and accurately to keep the production line moving smoothly and safely. You’ll work closely with your team to ensure quality and safety standards are met while adapting quickly to changing needs.

What You’ll Do
As a Lumber Puller, you will be responsible for:

• Pull lumber off the chain at a steady, production-line pace
• Stack pulled lumber neatly and safely onto carts, pallets, or designated areas
• Kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, and lift as required throughout the shift
• Work both indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions
• Follow all safety protocols and consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Take direction well, learn new processes quickly, and adapt as needed
• Maintain focus and pace in a fast-moving, loud environment
• Communicate effectively with team members across the line
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute as a team player

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Previous experience in green chain, lumber puller, or similar roles preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects in lumber
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in mill or manufacturing settings
• Physical stamina to kneel, bend, stoop, crawl, and lift throughout the shift
