Job Role: US - Buyer
Location: Tempe, AZ (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite/2 days offsite (based on business need)
Pay Range: $36-40/hr
Introduction:
This position is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials, equipment, and services from approved vendors. The role involves evaluating supplier capabilities, pricing, and performance to ensure best value or lowest price/technically acceptable while maintaining compliance with government regulations, including FAR/DFARS.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Working knowledge of government procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Ability to follow established processes and operate effectively under supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and process improvement skills

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and government regulations (FAR/DFARS)
- Analyze vendor quotes, proposals, and service offerings to identify the most cost-effective and compliant solutions
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal value
- Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing
- Ensure procurement activities follow established procedures, internal controls, and compliance standards
