    Description

    Assembly Station Designer Role focuses on engineering and optimizing General Assembly workstations through a holistic approach, ensuring seamless integration of operators, materials, tooling, torque tools, and ICT interfaces.Key Responsibilities Engineer and optimize workstations with a focus on operators, material flow, tooling, torque tools, and ICT interfaces.Design detailed CAD layouts for production stations, ensuring compliance with process requirements, tooling needs, material flow, ergonomics, and safety standards.Incorporate logistics and material display considerations into workstation design.Assess operator footprint and integrate feedback from performance systems to optimize workstation layouts.Define scopes of work for new assembly layouts, optimizing vehicle assembly sequences and selecting cost‑effective tooling to improve efficiency.Support launch activities, including scroll development and workstation optimization.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address design issues and ensure smooth implementation.Perform workstation quality audits to ensure readiness and compliance.Manage and document workstation changes, including updates after scroll freeze.Apply strong project management skills to deliver successful workstation solutions on time.Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.Minimum 3 years experience in workstation / workcell design.Minimum 2 years Workplace Integration (material flow, ergonomics, etc @ work cell) experience required.Experienced in 2D design using AutoCAD.Solid understanding of ergonomics, material flow, and operator interface requirements.Strong documentation, change management, and problem‑solving skills.Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.Proven project management experience in a production or launch environment.Preferred Optional Skills Experience with 3D CAD modeling.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.Certification in automotive quality systems.#J-18808-Ljbffr
