JOB DESCRIPTION

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Feed platform requirements into AI tools to generate specs, scaffolding, and implementation
- Review AI-generated code accept, reject, or redirect
- Make design decisions: component interfaces, Kafka topic structure, data contracts
- Own steering files and hooks that encode coding standards and quality gates
- Ensure all components meet acceptance criteria before merging
- Validate non-functional requirements: 20M+ records/hour, ?5ms DB latency, auto-scaling

**Required Skills:** Core Language (10+ years experience):

- Java + Spring Boot 3 for backend microservices
- Kafka, JVM performance tuning

**Infrastructure:** Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI for CI/CD pipelines

**Database:** Oracle and PostgreSQL in production environments

**AI-Assisted Development (Critical):**

- 3 6 months professional experience using AI coding tools (Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon Q Developer) in a company setting
- Ability to write effective prompts and specs that produce production-quality code
- Comfortable with AI-managed spec/task workflows
