Job Description

We are seeking a Field Technical Support Consultant III to join our team. The role provides on-site break/fix hardware support for HP PC Products customers across laptops, desktops, RPOS, and workstations. Printer knowledge is a plus. The position operates in a fast-paced environment and requires a customer-focused approach, sound judgment, and consistent execution.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver on-site break/fix services for HP PCs and related hardware.
• Configure hardware, software, and simple network components.
• Install, repair, and replace units and components per documented procedures.
• Troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues, including printers and peripherals.
• Collaborate with escalation personnel and execute action plans to remediate PC/print issues.
• Educate customers on technology use and maintenance during service events.
• Manage priorities, schedules, and documentation to meet contractual commitments and budgets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude with experience using tools and alignment apparatus.
• Hands-on hardware repair experience with PCs and printers.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues involving third-party software, networks, and switches.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, verbal and written.
• Attention to detail with reliable administrative and documentation habits.
• Ability to work independently, plan, and reprioritize based on business needs.
• Understanding of business and financial impacts of service delivery.

Preferred Skills:

• HP printer repair and maintenance experience.
• Industry knowledge of PC and print ecosystems and service procedures.

Physical and Schedule Requirements:

• Able to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability for scheduled and unscheduled overtime, holidays, and non-traditional shifts.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, plus hardware technology training. College preferred.

Additional Details:

• Dress code: Business Professional. Black slacks and blue collared shirt.
• Cell phone reimbursement and a laptop/tablet will be provided.
• Background checks will be completed per customer agreements and may include employment history, education, drug, credit, and sex offender registries.
