Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration:  6 months, possible extension
Location:  St Paul, MN 55110

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and people-centric HR Generalist to drive the delivery of core HR services at the local level. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to both employees and leadership, ensuring HR practices align seamlessly with organizational goals, corporate standards, and operational excellence.
With a strong focus on employee experience, engagement, and compliance, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating a productive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic HR Partnership
  • Serve as a key HR partner to business leaders, offering insightful guidance and executing HR initiatives that support both operational and corporate strategies.
  • Actively contribute to business discussions, shaping decisions with a people-first perspective.
Talent Lifecycle Management
  • Champion end-to-end talent practices from workforce planning and onboarding to development, retention, and engagement.
  • Partner with hiring managers and talent acquisition teams to attract, select, and successfully onboard top talent while ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
Performance & Development
  • Coach and empower managers on performance management frameworks, helping them effectively navigate tools, conversations, and employee growth strategies.
  • Facilitate talent development through robust communication, training, and continuous feedback loops.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Act as a trusted resource in resolving employee relations matters, including concerns, conflicts, and workplace issues.
  • Continuously monitor organizational climate, proactively identifying trends and opportunities to enhance engagement and morale.
  • Design and implement initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy workplace culture.
HR Analytics & Insights
  • Leverage HR data to uncover insights, inform decision-making, and connect people strategies with business outcomes.
  • Develop actionable plans through analysis of workforce metrics and trends.
Compliance & Policy Excellence
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws, affirmative action guidelines, and company policies.
  • Drive consistent implementation of HR processes and uphold best practices across the organization.
Operational & Cultural Impact
  • Manage HR workflows, influence change, and optimize processes to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion by coaching leaders on the value of a progressive and culturally aware workplace.

What You Bring
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, with expertise across employee relations, compensation & benefits, recruiting, and employment law.
  • Prior exposure to a manufacturing or plant environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively across all organizational levels.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities while thriving in collaborative team environments.
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems such as Workday and UKG (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*:  $30.00 - $31.88 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
