We are seeking an experienced
Planner / Scheduler II to support a large-scale biotech and pharmaceutical site startup program. This role is ideal for a scheduling professional with expertise in
Primavera P6, Monday.com, critical path analysis, and cGMP facility startup planning. You will play a key role in coordinating complex project schedules, identifying risks before they impact execution, and ensuring successful startup and validation activities across multiple workstreams.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a major capital project in a highly regulated manufacturing environment while working alongside cross-functional teams responsible for facility activation, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Master Integrated Schedule Management
- Develop, maintain, and continuously optimize the site-wide Master Integrated Schedule (MIS) utilizing Monday.com and Primavera P6.
- Ensure schedule accuracy, alignment, and visibility across all project workstreams.
Schedule Integration & Coordination
- Interface with individual workstream schedules to establish schedule logic, milestone dependencies, and critical path relationships.
- Integrate project activities across engineering, validation, operations, quality, and manufacturing functions.
Critical Path & Schedule Analysis
- Conduct weekly Critical Path Method (CPM) evaluations and milestone reviews.
- Monitor schedule performance through variance analysis, forecasting, and look-ahead planning.
- Identify schedule risks, conflicts, and bottlenecks before they impact project execution.
Capacity Planning & Resource Management
- Analyze site-wide labor, equipment, and facility capacity requirements.
- Support resource leveling and planning activities for manufacturing, validation, and startup campaigns.
- Assess constraints and recommend scheduling adjustments to maximize operational efficiency.
Audit, Validation & CQV Scheduling
- Coordinate scheduling activities related to:
- Health Authority inspections
- Internal quality audits
- Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) activities
- Site startup and readiness milestones
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of scheduling and project controls experience supporting large-scale biotech, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or capital construction projects.
- Experience supporting commercial biotech/pharma facility activation projects valued at $300M+.
Technical Expertise
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Monday.com
- Primavera P6
- Enterprise scheduling integrations and platforms, including:
- Microsoft Project
- SAP
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- cGMP manufacturing environments
- Facility startup and operational readiness processes
- Technology Transfer (Tech Transfer) planning and execution
- Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
- Risk-based schedule forecasting and performance analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification.
- Primavera P6 Certification.
- Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, validation, and startup activities within highly regulated industries.
