Position Summary

US Squash is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Marketing to help develop and execute the organization's strategy to drive awareness, participation, engagement, and revenue growth. This is an exciting opportunity to help grow a sport at an important moment in its history. With squash on the road to its first Olympic Games in 2028, there is tremendous opportunity to expand the sport's reach, introduce new audiences to squash, and build on the momentum around the game in the United States.

The VP of Marketing will oversee brand marketing, communications, and content for the organization, including a small team of professionals in each area. This leader will partner closely with Development, Programming, and Executive Leadership to align marketing initiatives with overall organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic thinking, creativity, strong leadership, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get things done. This is a dynamic role with a wide range of opportunities to make an impact, and no two days are likely to look exactly the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's overall marketing strategy, including brand positioning, messaging, and customer acquisition
• Oversee all marketing functions: digital marketing, content, communications/PR, and brand management
• Develop compelling campaigns and content that increase awareness of squash and engage current and prospective participants, fans, partners, and supporters
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to elevate the profile of squash and support the organization's growth as the sport moves toward the Olympics
• Oversee/manage a high-performing team of 3-4 professionals
• Manage the marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of resources across channels
• Partner with Development leadership to align marketing and development strategies and identify opportunities for growth Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform strategy
• Establish and track KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI
• Present marketing performance, strategy, and recommendations to the executive team and/or board
• Champion the organization's brand identity and ensure consistency across all channels
• Drive customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, business, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including 3+ years in leadership role
• Proven track record of building and scaling marketing functions and teams
• Strong experience with digital marketing, content creation, marketing analytics, and CRM/marketing automation platforms
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross functional collaboration skills
• Experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership and/or boards
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and budget management skills
• Creative, curious, and energized by the opportunity to help grow a sport and reach new audiences
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities and opportunities can evolve quickly
